Hosting Requirements

Below are the general requirements  that are involved with being a "host church" for our workshops. Although these details may vary from year to year, you can anticipate that next year and the following years will be similar. The earliest you will be considered as a host church will be for 2007. Booking begins in July so please have your requests in no later than Monday, July 17, 2006.

Feel free to read over this information and if you decide this is something your community would benefit from, give us a call or send us and e-mail, FAX or letter. Our Workshops and Festivals are considered among the best offered nationwide. We could never offer such great training without our eager, capable, and willing hosts!

Host Information Sheet

Background information:

Puppet Productions, the originator of the modern church puppet ministry, has been training people across the nation and parts of the world for many years. We began our training workshops in 1972 -- before anyone else had even begun thinking about it. At that time they were called Puppet Training Seminars. It was a simple, two class format with fun-filled demonstrations and riotous "Hands-on" training. After several years, these became the School of Puppetry and added many new dimensions to the training.

Through the years we have refined our art and added more detailed instruction in many different areas. Now the years of preparation have culminated in what we feel to be the most concise and clear instruction ever offered. We are prepared to equip groups and individuals to reach out with puppetry and related skills, and will do so using new and exciting demonstrations and technique training.

Host Requirements:

There is NO FEE to host a School Of Puppetry event at your church.   PLUS, your church members attend the event at a discounted rate.

We ask that the host church provides the following:

·Rooms for classes and general assembly.  (varies from year to year)

We require one large main assembly room which will seat everyone present. It will need to have a 15' x 15' cleared area for our stage. The demonstrations and general instruction for all attendees will take place in this room, so it will need to seat about 200 comfortably.

We will need to have three additional rooms, seating approximately 75, 50, 30 people each. These room will be used in the small group "class sessions" in which the attendees will be divided for the purpose of "hands-on" and "lecture" style training. The large assembly room will also be used for class sessions.

·Assistance in publicizing.

We will send publicity flyers to evangelical churches, on OUR mailing list within a radius of 50-100 miles of each host church location. We will need your help in inviting the other ministry-minded churches in your area. We will provide (free of charge) 200 full color publicity fliers (more if requested) for your use. These will be custom printed to include the name and address of your church. They may then be mailed or hand delivered to other churches and/or organizations in your area. Host churches should feel free to use radio, print, and other advertising means as well.

·8 foot tables or similar.

We will need a total of five - 8 foot tables-- for registration and display purposes.

That is it! We do not require a minimum attendance and there is no fee to the host church for having us there. All transportation, accommodations, and meal expenses for the team of instructors are paid by Puppet Productions.
